5 Cocktail Recipes For You To Enjoy This Summer

Summer is almost here and there’s nothing better than soaking up some sun by the pool right? Well, almost nothing better- add a cocktail in your hand and it would be the perfect summer day. We all have our favorite tried and true drink, but let’s mix things up a bit for the summer! Were going to find some fun drinks that will have you and your friends excited to try them. Here are 5 cocktail recipes for you to enjoy this summer. 


Blueberry Margarita’s

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can try a blueberry margarita. It takes the drink to another level with fresh blueberries. Heres how you can make this delicious cocktail for yourself. You will need:


  • Coarse sea or kosher salt
  • 1 lime wedge
  • ½ cup fresh blueberries, plus a few for garnish
  • ¾ oz (1½ Tbsp) fresh lime juice
  • ¼ oz (1½ tsp) light agave nectar
  • 2 oz (¼ cup) 100% blue agave silver tequila
  • ½ oz (1 Tbsp) blue curaçao
  • Muddler or Pestle

Line the rim of the glass with lime and salt, then add ice to the glass. Add blueberries, lime juice, and agave into your shaker. Muddle the mixture. Fill half the shaker with ice, tequila, and blue curacao then shake well. Strain your margarita into the glass. Add blueberries on top for garnish. 


Mermaid Lemonade

What’s better than a nice cold glass of lemonade in the summer? Turning it into a cocktail of course! Say hello to the Mermaid Lemonade. Heres how you make summer in a glass! You will need:


  • 2 c. ice
  • 1/4 cup blue curaçao
  • 1 cup white rum
  • 2 cups lemonade
  • 4 lemon slices
  • 8 maraschino cherries

Place a ¼ cup of ice in each glass, it keeps the drinks chilled and helps to create an ombre effect. Add some blue curacao, ¼ cup of white rum, and another ¼ cup of ice. Then add ¼ cup of lemonade. To seal the delicious deal, place a lemon slice and some cherries on an umbrella to add to the drink. 


Peach Bourbon Arnold Palmer

Who doesn’t enjoy a refreshing Arnold Palmer? Here is the classic drink older brother-  the peach bourbon Arnold Palmer. A nice glass of this will have you relaxing in the sun in no time. You will need:


  • 1 whiskey ball
  • 1 part lemonade
  • 1 part iced tea
  • 1 tsp simple syrup
  • 1-ounce bourbon
  • 1/2 ounce peach liqueur
  • 1/2 of 1 peach- sliced
  • 1 mint sprig for garnish

Place an ice ball in your glass. Then simply pour in the tea, lemonade, simple syrup, bourbon, and peach liqueur. Stir it until it is mixed together, add some peach slices into the drink, and add mint for garnish. 


Rainbow Sangria

Sangria is an amazing option for the summer. Heres the rainbow sangria- a delectable mashup of Moscato and delicious fruits all in one glass ready to sip on. You will need:


  • 1 1/2 bottles Moscato, chilled
  • 1/2 c. triple sec
  • Juice of 3 limes
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 3 c. blackberries
  • 3 c. blueberries
  • 6 kiwis, peeled and sliced
  • 2 c. diced pineapple
  • 2 c. diced mango
  • 2 c. Halved strawberries

In a large pitcher, pour in the Moscato, triple sec, sugar, and lime juice. Stir until it’s combined. In tall glasses layer in your fruits. Pour the mixture over the fruits and serve. 


Moscow Mule

Nothing is more refreshing than some ginger beer. Which is why a Moscow Mule had to make an appearance on this list! It’s an amazing option for a hot summer day. You will need:


  • 2 oz. vodka
  • 1/2 oz. lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • 6 oz. ginger beer

Squeeze lime into a copper mug or glass and add the lime shell. Add a few ice cubes, vodka, and ginger beer. Stir and serve.
